Addiction

"The problem with tasting abnormal pleasures is that you might not be able to enjoy normal ones"

How true might this be? And if so, is that a good thing?

  1. depends on the definition of "normal" to you (totul e relativ :D ) and if so, consider that abnormal just might mean normal...

  2. Doesn't expecting the unexpected make the unexpected become the expected?

    Yes; the abnormal does become, indeed, normal. Lest the 'normalised' abnormal is harder to find than the plain 'normal' I insist this might not be a positive sign.

    And this doesn't translate into perfectionism (you know, 'trying to find better and better things in your life'), i speak of the perversion of our thoughts - which makes normal ones become dissatisfactory.

    Feelings are lost, either in this perversion or - worse - in routine.

    One that's had 100 pieces of cake no longer feels the sweetness of a new one, even though it may be the best one yet;

    I despise that saying and I regretfully feel its weight on myself.

    Balance.
